Spas
Could Spas Be
Our Fountain of Youth?

If so, perhaps it can be
found in the history of the word spa.
Stemming from Latin origin, spa is believed to have many
roots, Salut
per
Aqua,
Solus
per Aqua,
and Sanus
per Aquam
which essentially translate to health through water.
Hydrotherapeutic wellness can
trace its origin back to ancient Roman, Greek, Egyptian,
Mesopotamian and Minoan times. The Romans are considered
the first to seek out hot wells and build baths around
them for relief of aching bodies. Since B.C. 200 the
Romans and subsequent modern societies have used
hydrotherapy to provide relief to
rheumatism, arthritis, as well
as a host of chronic, neurological, and orthopedic
ailments.
